heyas;
the first hip problem i want to talk about is the hip losing track of its place when it is rotated. you may have noticed this.
i first noticed when i was doing falling animations for my piggy chase game. i wanted slapstick falls with the hip flying up in the air and the person landing (face down or face up) on the ground. when i tipped the hip back, i had to raise it unreasonably high in poser to get it to go up to moderate slapstick height in world.
i also noticed this with some recent tiny animations. sometimes i have to yank the tilted hip up very high to get any height out of it.
then again, maybe it only happens in poser. i use poser 6. at any rate, best to test heights (if you are animating a standing figure) on the beta grid before finalizing.
the second hip problem i want to ask you about.... because this is a new one on me. i've created a pose where i move the hip down (STRAIGHT down) a few points, in preparation to making some riding poses.
when i import it into sl, the hip moves down and to the side. WHY?????????????????????????????????????
this didnt happen before when i made my other riding animation a year or so ago.
wait... omg, they ARE crooked! ::sigh::
any advice on this one? geeze.
okay, after some testing, im gonna guess that the entire hip movement is actually dependent upon which standing animation is currently playing. i stand hipshot, i tilt sideways, i stand straight, a twist a little. gawd. okay, i'll just ignore it. yeesh.
