A questioner reports that, for an animation they created, when they upload it using an alt, the preview shows motion, but when they upload it using their main, the preview doesn't show motion.

Any ideas what the problem might be?

It's not me, it's someone else, so I won't be able to just answer questions or try suggestions, I'll just pass useful responses on.

If it's not a bug, I'd guess an AO. Maybe one burried in shoes or something..

Would an AO affect the preview that you see during the upload process?

My guess is they need to double-check all the settings on the preview window.

It could be one has the proper settings saved from a prior upload, and the other doesn't.

The only thing I can think of that can affect the preview animations is when choosing the 'preview animation while' option. You can preview while sitting, walking, standing... and these have different priorities so maybe the animation being uploaded has a low enough priority that its being overriden by the preview. That's pretty weird...

Could it relate to this?

If it's not on the Windlight viewer, perhaps clearing the cache would help? (I'd assume other SL files would be the same from account to account, but reinstalling might be another way to go, since I believe the preview is all viewer?)
