For those who make animations and would like to be able to sell them for bundling into products by "value-added resellers" or "OEMs", please consider voting for http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-1654Basically, this would give you a checkbox so you could sell an item full-perms, but the person you sold it to would have to set either no-copy of no-xfer before transferring. This would avoid fiascos like the recent E. Capalini issue. Please consider and vote if you agree! Thanks Lear

I voted for it. I'd ask that any animators or would be animators vote for it too. I for one am always leery about selling my anims as copy/transfer based only on the trust you have for the other avatar. This fix would make trust a non-issue. This is a win-win situation for you and your customers. But don't take my word for it. I know any animator out there knows how it is in SL.

Voted - as much to support the "spirit" of the proposal as to support the specific implementation (have to give it some thought, I may add comments to the JIRA page if appropriate). Most of my current animations would be useful additions to certain types of furniture and other builds, and I get requests for full-perms versions all the time, but the current permissions system offers me no protection at all so I've shied away from wholesale business. I might rethink that if I could specify "next next owner" perms in some sensible and reliable way.
