Problem: Avatar is 2 feet offset from correct position

Every time I use one of the more complex animations, my avatar body is about two feet above where it is supposed to be. Do avatars have "offsets" like other prims? If so, any idea how I can fix it? It is very frustrating. Basic sit positions, and some animations work fine, but the more advanced ones (like Be Creative! at Stairway..) have this problem, as have several others.

Any thoughts?

there's 2 places that an offset can come from
1. The poseball that you're using to play the anim. If when you open the anim and play it (inworld or locally) it doesn't happen, then this is problem.

2. you offset hips someplace, most likely frame 1 or 2. The AV is centered on the hips. This is what allows the jump-into-the-air anims, or dances that move you around the floor (or diving board anims) etc

If you're talking about playing animations made by others... No there is no way to 'correct' that unless you, or they, make new animations with the correct hip placement.
