Hello there.:-)

Maybe a stupid question, but for sure a newbie question.:-)
Recently I posted here about sexy walk animation "inside" boots/shoes. So, I thought it should be great have sexy walk animation alone to use with other shoes/boots whitout it.

Then, I bought one sexy walk animation. But I think I am doing something wrong. Dont matter I choose play locally on in the world, I start to walk but at same place. That means I dont walk, so is not sexy walk, is sexy stop. If I use arrows to walk - as normaly I do- animation stop. Now comes my question: what am I doing wrong? I must doing something wrong because "sexy walk" means walk in sexy way and I am not walking, I saty at same place. Or, maybe I got a bad animation? If so, where I can have it (one working with arrows)?

Someone could please explain me?

Thank you very much again.:-)

you dont play the animation at all.
you put the animation inside an animation overrider, more frequently referred to as an 'ao'. then you wear the ao, either as an attachment (the shoe you mentioned) or on your hud.

wow, sorry... but it's greck for me..
I dont know what is "ao". I dont see options to attach animation, I only have play world or localy (and delete, etc).
As I said, I am newbie on this stuff but I thank you avery much for your care.

Hi Aniela,

you don´t need an Ao for a sexy walk (althought its better with one), you just wear it. The problem here is that you bought an animation thats needs an AO. Go to the free dove and get a free sexy walk, or you can n go to Vista and buy a Basic AO for about 150 L (it as one walk and 2 poses i belive).

I got Walk: Sexy at Yadni's SL

I added the script I got at Ariadne's site, step4 on ring

and I am getting this error:

anel com script sexy walk: Couldn't find animation Walk:Sexy

I even edit to take off space between : and "S", but still dont works..

Any idea what is wrong?

In the script, change the name of Walk:Sexy to whatever the name of the animation it is for the sexy walk. Or, if you have rights to rename the animation, just the opposite - as long as name of animation and the script match, that is what is important.

Place both the animation and the script in the same object (bracelet, hair, shoe, whatever) and wear it.

Congratulations!

In 2 weeks, you shall become used to "it" and become an expert! That is what somebody told me when I was new.

After this, you buy small parcel of land, have a home, furniture, plenty of costumes and huge inventory of shoes - it is endless possibilities!

Well, Now I found how add animation and script to an object AND seeing closely the script I also found I can add more animations inside, I get some animations I bought to add on my magic ring.:-) They are another sexywalk (so I intended to replace Sexy:walk) and legcross, both from Vista Barnes.

Then, sadly I found I cannot drag them to object content... One is no copy, other is no copy and no modify. So, how I can go around that? Well, I suppose I can do it. I wish dont have payed for something I cannot use. If these animations are not for ao, so how use them? Again, is not funny walking at same place...

I am thinking I can add animations such as dance, sit, walk, etc.. something like my personal settings to walk, dance, sit and so on... Am I right?

Thank you very much in advance.:-)

You can drag no copy items into your AO. The downside is they will disappear from your inventory and if you lose your AO you've lost the anims in it. There's a discussion elsewhere in this forum about anim perms.

No modify means you can't change the anim name so you need to copy it exactly into your AO notecard.

Natalia has a great tutorial on her blog about AOs ... http://slnatalia.blogspot.com/2007/07/day-307-animation-override-ao-tutorial.html
