..when you chat with someone, it seems to play the 'type' animation, followed by the 'talk' animation....

I actually don't mind the 'type' animation, but whats annoying me is the nodding of the head, which is part of the 'talk' animation....

so if you say "No" .. the AV types .. fair enough... but then nods! agghh

I've downloaded Avimator, so can see the separate anims.... but how would you go about just playing the one anim when chatting to someone...?

ie can someone point me in the right direction about what calls an anim for the AV when in certain situations...

thanks

I don't have the answer your looking for but I often find myself not wanting to display the typeing animation at all. You can chat without it by using "/0 your message here."

Just a though...

thank Charles...

yeah I read that in the forum. Typing anim is sometimes kinda useful as you know the person is about to speak.... just the nodding that is bugging me .. lol ...

To keep your avatar from nodding you would need a script that tracks the typing and inserts a high priority head "still" animation for a second after typing stopped. You could try stopping the talk animation itself, but lag and lsl slowness might bite you there.
