Ok. Morphs used to work.. now it seems that they just dont. I uploaded a pose that is supposed to have both hands in fists. If i put it to priority 4, it doesn't ever have it in fists, preview or IW. If its priority 2, it shows in preview but doesn't ever do it IW. Any ideas?

I've gotton them to work before, even if it doesnt last long.

Ok.. this is just odd. Yesterday I'd upload and they wouldn't be in a fist at all. Now today I looked at the ones I had uploaded yesterday, and they are.

It's inconsistent. I don't know if it's a bug or not. My speculation is the underlying default stand animations are always playing, and for some reason the hand positions in those override whatever we've used in our uploaded animations.

Yeah they change them and its inconsistant if they do or not. But until recently they atleast started out the way you wanted them.

There is a way you can increase the priority that hand morphs are set (or is it facial morphs this effects, i forget, maybe it's both, probably both).

Browse to your SL install folder, (probably "C:\Program Files\Second Life";)
Open the folder "app_settings"
Backup the file "floater_animation_preview.xml"
Open "floater_animation_preview.xml" in your favorite editor
Search for 'name="priority"' without the single quotes
A few lines below you will find 'max_val="4"'
change it to read 'max_val="5"'
Save the file.

This will not effect the max priority of the animation (it's still only 4) but it will effect the priority for the morphs.

If you screwed up, the client will crash when you open the preview floater.
The client does not need to be exited for changes to have effect (though the preview floater should be closed). This file is hot swappable (most of the xml files in this directory are).

On a side, some of the messages in "alerts.xml" are kinda funny, my favorite is for "ChangeLindenAccess"

This isn't in the known issues, but as far as I can tell, I can no longer force hand into fists at all via the animation upload.

If anyone wants to confirm or deny, that'd be great.

Cheers,

Iron.

Hand/Expressions has been broken for the last few updates, supposed to be fixed this update.

If you choose fist, might or might not get it, it changes each time you use it. I have reported this update before last, and last update...hopefully this Wednesday I don't have to report it again.
