Hello all,
I made some sit animations and setted corrctly from ground....Tested them playing the simple anim.
Now i put them inside a Zhao II AO, active the sit override button, rezz a simple box and sit on it....The distance from ground is correct but the avi is sit 50 cm "before" the box! My sit is made leaving the figure on the default X and Y positions and working with distance from ground... I though i would sit "above" the prim face, at the center...
What i made wrong?
Thanks

while you can get the Z right, there is no right on the Y.... I usually move mine back from center, but when you are sitting on a non sittargeted prim, you can get all sorts of variations depending on where you decide have clicked to sit and where you are standing...
what prgram are you using?

I'm using poser 7, and i confess i never used sit animations included in AOs, because all furniture has at least one anim inside ...But if i must include sits they must be run good! In my simple test i rezzed a box, stretched a little and chose "Sit here" after clicking at about the center of superior face. And my avi sit about 0,5 mt before the prim at the right height.

The Linden Lab internal sit animations all offset the hips -0.4 meters in the Z direction when opened in Poser, I'd recommend using that. I don't make AO stuff so I'm not exactly an authoritative source, but I did look into it some time ago and it seemed to work fine (as well as just making sense to match the defaults for maximum compatibility). Hope that helps some

You won't find a one fits all answer as there are variations depending on all sorts of factors like the hip angles, which limbs you use IK for etc. So you won't get around some trial and error for each sit pose you make. To avoid unnessecary upload costs, I strongly reccommend using the Emerald viewer which lets you preview animations in-world on your own avatar before uploading.
