Whenever poser is mentioned around here it's always 4 to the latest. But, poser 3 does work for creating animations. The only prerequisites are that you have to use either the default guy or a poser 2 model. And you have to rename each body part. When you save that to a file, you have a default model to use. For those that this applies to, here's the list of renames. Head -> head Neck -> neck Chest -> chest Abdomen -> abdomen Hip -> hip Left Collar -> lCollar Left Shoulder -> lShldr Left Forearm -> lForeArm Left Hand -> lHand Right Collar -> rCollar Right Shoulder -> rShldr Right Forearm -> rForeArm Right Hand -> rHand Left Thigh -> lThigh Left Shin -> lShin Left Foot -> lFoot Right Thigh -> rThigh Right Shin -> rShin Right Foot -> rFoot For those that don't know how to change the name of the body parts, just double click on each part and change the name in the dialog that comes up. I'd been fussing with various translators written in perl and C for 2 months before I figured this out completely by accident.

Does that mean it's possible to then save the model so we don't need to change the body parts every time?
I've Poser 3 from an old magazine cover and when I worked out that the names needed changing i gave up, then again, I was changing them using notepad where I could have used a script/program to do so.
thanks,

It means exactly that. Reset the names, then save it. When you do animations the first frame needs to be in the T pose, so start your animations on frame 2.
