How to animate top half of body only?

Is there a way of animating the top half of the body but not the bottom half so that for example I can still walk around but have my arms up holding something etc. I know I can make a walk to use with an AO but is there another way. Im using Poser. Thanks.

Yep, all you need to do is *only* move the joints that you want animated and leave the others the same through the whole animation (well, in actuality it's just the first 2 frames that matter but there's no reason to start moving legs and such around after that anyway). Upload at a high priority so the incidental upper-body movements of your regular walking animation won't bleed through.

To ensure that higher-priority-than-necessary walks in AOs don't take over, you may need to implement a scripted solution that restarts your animation periodically.
