I wanted to start a new thread on this because the one before might be moved, due to it being an "ad". I've been working with Arch since he started this project and therefore have made an entire section just for it.

Yes the animations I sell are no copy, but all you have to do is "drop" the device on the ground to edit. Drag the anim into the contents after doing this. You can't place them in the override while wearing it.

I would make them copy/ no transfer but then I get people complaining about not being able to buy them for others. So, it's that simple.

Also I've had alot of questions like, "can my head move so I look at people" or "why don't I type when I'm sitting etc". If you purchase an animation where the limbs are posed, that limb is then locked and will not move about as normal. We have priority levels that we set when uploading the animation. If the sit is not set to high priority, when you sit down the pose will not work correctly. It's kind of the price you pay for being completely posed.

I have tried to make both types of poses available. My animations that work best in the override are in their own section.

Thank you for this post, Ms. Grayson. I don't feel so lost in concerns to AO, now.

Consider yourself +1 fan. You have some great animations out there. Coupled with Mr. Underthorn's gadget, the sky's the limit. :D

I see. I get complaints about my "copy, no transfer" settings often.

Let me reiterate this to make sure I understand. In order to use the AO your animation your animations can be either of these permissions.

no copy, transfer -> one has to drop and edit the device but they can give them to others
copy, no transfer -> one can drop animations into the AO in the inventory but they cannot give them to others

Is that right?

You have to put it on the ground for no transfer and no copy anims. Not sure why, Sl is quirky.

Complicated! :)

One more time to make sure I understand. In order to use the AO your animation your animations can be either of these permissions.

no copy, transfer -> one has to drop and edit the device, they can give them to others, they can't use the animations in gestures
copy, no transfer -> one has to drop and edit the device, they cannot give them to others, they can use animations in gestures
copy, transfer -> one can drop animation into the AO in the inventory, they can give them to others, they can use animations in gestures

Is that right?

Thank god someone finally posted how that thing works. Hee! Archanox mentioned getting this in another thread of mine and I did go out and buy it, then spent a while pondering how to edit the lists contained in it... and eventually gave up. :D

Thanks for the instructions. *blushes* :D

I just got the AO a few days ago and tried it out finally last night.

I love using it. I just need to find more animations.

I have one question though. How long are the intervals between the stand poses? I've noticed some poses don't last as long as others. And in some instances, one pose plays more frequently.

Also, I have placed in some poses that have suitable permissions, but they aren't found when I use my set. But these aren't reverie poses. So maybe that's it.

I think it would be okay to at least specify the priority certain poses should be given so animators can consider them upon upload. I have several stand poses that completely lock my arms in place. So I've lost my ability to laugh or make hand gestures.

Either way, I love this animation overide and greatly appreciate all your hard work. I'm probably going back to the store later today to buy more animations. :)

The intervals between the poses is 40 seconds, I'm not sure why it would seem like some play longer than others. It switches from stand 1 through 5 and back to 1 again, so maybe you have stand 1 and 5 as the same animation? Just a shot in the dark there :P

As for it not finding your animations, make sure you type the name exactly the same, same spacing and case. Also, when you change your set, you have to reset the script before the changes take effect. Just type "/100 reset";(no quotes)

Now about your arms locking up :)
When you upload an animation, SL checks the first and second frame. If a joint doesnt move at all between the first and second frame, that joint's priority is set to -1(everything plays over it). Conversely, if there is movement, and say you upload you animation at priority 4, that joint's priority would be 4 and nothing would play over it.

Try changing your anim so theres no movement in the arm joints between frame 1 and 2 and see how that works.

Lemme know how it goes ^^
