I am trying to get a smooth walk animation. It is fine until the animation loops then there is a slight "glitch". How do I elminate it? I am using Poser 5. Any help is apprecated.

I used to make animations (looped), you have to remove the very last frame from the cycle, as the 1st and last frames are identical, much the same way with 'tweening'.

Hmm that did help quite a bit, but there is still a little jerk when it loops. Any other suggestions?
Also another interesting problem. It looks ok when just played. But when placed in a AO my avatar seems to studder along the ground. I walk yes but not smoothly.

You may have to use both the first and last frames for referencing the exact positions of each limb, then remove the first, or last, frame to create the smooth loop. Given the the animations are fed via the LL servers, there will be a slight delay (milliseconds) at the end of the data stream, whereby the client has to poll the LL server to ask/sync wether the loop is complete, or wether to go round again. The AO issue is that you are introducing a third element to the process. There are far more talented ppls that make animations for SL, that have a handle on the fine tuning of looped animations. I have seen a thread recently, try doing a search.

Yes I assumed as much and have tried that, however I must be missing something. I will continue to try and resolve the issue. As for a recent thread on this subject, I did do a search but apparently did not have the correct terms. I will check again. Thank you for your suggestions.

make sure you're uploading your walk at a high priority, otherwise the default animation for walking will play through it and cause you to look strange. probably what's causing it to look strange in your ao but not when standing still

Ahh you are quite right. I thought I had it set for a higher priority, but when I reuploaded it the problem disappeared. I should have realized. Thanks!
