Hello. First post here, and I'll admit I haven't searched as much as possible to find an answer, but going back through the most recent 10 pages of threads seems like good enough, and I couldn't find an answer to this. I own Lightwave 3D and therefore don't think it's really intelligent to also have to buy Poser to create an animation (but willing to consider based on feedback here). I've done some animating in LW of fully-rigged characters, so I know how to do it. And so, let the noob questions commence.
(prepares to dodge virtual rotten fruit)
Is there a .BVH exporter available for Lightwave?
Has anyone used Lightwave to create a functioning in-game animation?
and
Are there any resources available, such as pre-configured skeletons, for use in or able to be imported into Lightwave?
Thank you

No. Most programs will import BVH but not export it. Haven't heard, but highly doubt it. See above. No. Because of the above. The Avies are based on the poser 2 models. There are pre-configured models for Poser, but no other programs because of the way the uploading is set up. Some have gotton Blender to work after renaming the joints. But I haven't heard very positive things about that work around. Not to mention I think there is uploading issues if you have more joints then SL knows what to do with. There are also two different people working on free animation editors located here and here. Buying Poser or not is not a question of intelligence, it's just the way things are.
