Hi! Just wondering if anyone out there has a Tai Chi Ch'uan animation they ar eselling or giving away. I found some nice Karate animations that someone had set out for free (thanks!!), but have had no luck finding anything Tai Chi. I'm hoping I just haven't looked in the right place yet. first, welcome to SL! second, sorry.. i can't help you, but maybe someone will come along and make one. or, like you mentioned, you could get Poser and play with it until you can make some all on your own.. which would be very cool indeed! and you're right, the possibilites of SL are staggering! good luck!  Ps - i could be wrong, but did you ever play Neopets? i ask because, if i remember correctly, there was a Pet Pet that had the name Ghoti. (i had one.. heheh)

I would sure be interested if it was accurate ! I'm finding it hard to remember anything beyond the first half-dozen moves of the form in RL. Perhaps I could then send my AV along to the classes instead of me |

Sensual, thanks! I bought your TCC animation this weekend. Good stuff, though there is a bit of 'moonwalking'/matrix-type effect where the character's feet dont touch the ground... I'll play with different size avatars to see if that's it. Good stuff though!!! Looks like its prolly based on Wu-style TCC? I'm not a Taoist, though I'm interested. I would class myself as a Seeker... always willing to explore Life's dynamics. I have been taking Yang-style TCC for about three months now.... just barely learned the first third of the 64 movements of the form. Having a lot of fun and learning ALOT about how my body moves through space. Very interesting stuff. -Ghoti |

I never played Neo-pets. My name comes from *embarrassed* an episode of the old 1960's Batman tv show where the Riddler sends a clue or something about the wharf and fishing boats or something like that. Ghoti = 'gh' as in enough = f 'o' as in women = i 'ti' as in intuition = sh So my name is pronounced 'Fish' In most games I go by the name 'Ghoti Styx' (fishsticks), but here we're forced into set last names. -Ghoti LOL I have no clue , I did a search on the web, and just based it off the pictures... I honestly don't know what the entire moves consist of, but I had time to play around with it, so I did... and yes odd... cus my feet touch the ground hehe |

Wow, you did a good job for never having seen the actual form. In my reading of these forums and other places (I think Ulrika mentions it in one of her pages) about the floating/sunken avatars and something about how placement is based on the location of the AVs pelvis, or something like that. -Ghoti Its based on the hip area , rather its the pelvis or not I am unsure, but if your body is not poportioned then it will set it off.. I have had one of my models that made my poses look like holy hell lol... and we found his arms were longer then they should be... so yeah it just depends |
