I run poser and activate the help documents, photoshop launches and the help files apear within. Is this suppossed to happen? if not, how can I fix it?

The help files are Adobe Acrobat files, if you don't have that installed, Photoshop can still read them, tho you're much better off using Acrobat.

Click on Tools > Folder Options Chose the File Types tab Find the Entry for PDF Under Details, check the program that it looks at, click Change and select "Adobe Reader 6.0" (or whatever version you use).
