Alright, Aragorn goes and makes a fighting pose, and then he goes to Second Life and chooses upload Animation...

"But alas, where is my animation?", I ask my self. I go to the folder I saved it in, double checked the location, yet it is nowhere to be seen on the upload screen!

Can you help me, Second Life?

Did you export it as a BVH file?

Did you get any error messages when uploading?

Or did you rename it in the uploader?
(I've been guilty of doing this. Using the BVH filename instead of the SL anim name.)

I had this happen to me the first time I used Avimator.

Turned out that I had expected it to automatically add the ".bvh" at the end of the file name when typing it in (silly me, I know, expecting it to do what most other programs do. I should have paid closer attention).

When I went back to avimator, reloaded the file, added the .bvh, and saved it again, it uploaded to SL just fine.

Change the Extension to BVH

I had the same exact problem. I'm new to animation and almost cried when my work had the wrong extension. You can change it to .BVH without doing anything else to the file and it will upload just fine. INK

Not sure I've always uploaded bvh files. Even incorrect bone structure in a BVH file has prompted an error that doesn't let you proceed with upload. But I've never had a problem if it was uploaded as walk.bvh and I named it Issues Walk without the BVH.

I was speaking in terms of my BVH file being named Backflip and then changing the name to IA Flip Back or IA Back Handspring - For example. :)

Waaay back in the day before I cancelled my Fate account, I had that problem but all I did was report it, and when it did bug out on an upload I usually got a refund. But it's been a long time since I've had an upload bug that resulted in no anim/image/sound.

Just triple check the file and inventory names. :)
