I have poser 5 and 6. I was wondering if, in either of these, it is possible to "attach" a prop to one of the avatar's elements. The reasoning behind this is, I want to work on some sword and quarterstaff anims, but I need a "attachment" in poser so I can watch for collisions and make it more realistic/accurate. If anyone could tell me how to do this, or if it's even possible, it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks ^^

Oh, sure!

You'll probably want to get your figure in a pose where you can easily move stuff directly along the world axes. The default pose with zero rotation is a good starting point. If you're posing a handheld object, you may want to tweak the receiving hand so that it's sharply bent at 90 degrees from the wrist. It makes the object a bit easier to position, in my experience.

Pull in your prop, turn it the way you want and dial it into place. To pose, say, a a drawn sword, move the hilt into one of the avatar's hands and make sure it's rotated to look just the way it should look with the hand in that position.

Select the prop, and (in Poser 5) got to the "Figure" menu and select "Set Figure Parent..."

You'll get a browser of all the objects in the current Poser "Universe." Navigate down to the appropriate hand for your avie and double-click it.

From then on, the sword should move and rotate as an extension of the hand.
