Recently I purchased a lot of erotic and cuddle animations, and I want to align them properly in MLP menu's. Thought it would be quite easy but my main issue is: What is the average avatar height for male and female? Did ask this in the cartel group and got M=7" and F=6.5" but with my shape at 100% height, I seem to be only 6.10" So what do you generally use as avatar sizes to align these couple animations so the average potential customer does not have to realign each and every animation?

Nah seems like I am still a n00b on the forums, could have used search functionality as well And then it becomes very clear that no one has an answer... yet I want my cuddle and erotic animations as well aligned for the mass as possible. After all, most people do not change them after buying an object. Someone mentioned to keep the female avatar "3" shorter then the male, so I will try and do that for now...

Why don't you just have a simple script made to use a bunch of animations depending on the avatar size differences?

Nexii, Because I am using MLP2, to I do not exactly have that option. For single animations that I use in my furniture, I do write my own scripts, but when implementing many couple or threesomes, MLP2 is a lot easier

It's really difficult isn't it? I'd use something like 8' for males and 7' for females. Everyone is so tall these days. If you design for larger avatars then smaller avatars who use your bed will find their bodies distant from each other. If you design for smaller avatars, larger avatars will find their bodies merging together unnaturally.
It would be nice if we could decide on an avatar size standard for interactive animations. We'd end up with better couple animations.

From: Marcel Flatley So what do you generally use as avatar sizes to align these couple animations so the average potential customer does not have to realign each and every animation? I do a lot of animation positioning and I find it's best to use avs of more or less the same average height and proportion. The default SL sizes are a fairly good benchmark (see test male and test female under Character in the Advanced menu). You cannot predict the size of the avs that will ultimately use the poses and female avs can just as easily be bigger than male avs. This appears to work fine so long as there isn't a really big height or size issue - like chihuahuas and greyhounds, for instance. Also most devices like MLP, Lear Cale's MLPV2 and Miffy Fluffy's XPOSE, allow users to adjust positioning if it is drastically off for them so you shouldn't strain your brain too much about it.

What I did eventually is use my main avatar 6'6" and my female model, who I made 6'3" to align the first set of 42 animations. Quite a weird job The 3" difference I did read somewhere in a thread I found through searching this forum. Since Ephraim has a lot more experience then I do with aligning, I will try out his tip tonight with the same set, to check if the animations still match. The test male is 6'0" and the test female is 5'11", so the height difference is a bit more. Maybe it is smart to use these values to make the final aligning, I guess that if Ephraim gets good results with them, I will as well. Thanks for thinking with me!

I am pretty avarage and my crash test dummy too. But I also adjusted the size of the limbs according my avatars size, that helped for me as well.
