Cannot use no-copy animations in gestures

I am a bit new to this but so perhaps this is an old issue. I wanted to add a double backflip that I bought to a gesture. When I went to add it it would not show up in the list. The copyable animations before and after appear in the list but not the one i wanted.

It sounded similar to the problem with no-copy, no-transfer textures. Perhaps it crept in during the 1.6 or 1.6.1 updates but I only tried to create the gesture last night so it might be 1.6.2(2).

It is a pain because I think a lot of people want to use animations as part of gestures. But to open the animations for copy would wreck the animator business model.

Anyhow I would appreciate either help or at least confirmation that it is a known issue. Otherwise I suppose it should be reported as a bug.

Hey Leif! I think this has been around, actually. :( I don't know the full story but I think it's because there was an earlier COPY exploit in gestures and it hasn't been patched up as elegantly as some (myself included) have hoped, so it leads people like us to wonder why this is... or if we're doing something wrong. Kelly helpfully mentioned something on a related note:

... but yeah, this is known. Not spoken the loudest about, perhaps, but definitely out there.
