I have been attempting to use Poser 5 to create a "walk" sequence. I am looking to create a more leisurely walking pace. I can slow down the stride rate, but I don't know how to reduce the velocity of the avatar over the surface. The result is that my slow stepping avatar looks like she is ice skating.
Is there a way to "override" the default walking velocity?

GOOD DAY TO YOU CYANAURA There is a way but it's not the most flexible. Have chatbar closed, hold down space bar, and then walk.

Alternately you can script an attachment to apply an impulse to you when moving. Adapting an animation overrider that already detects your animation state will save you much of the work. It doesn't work terribly well from what I have tried. Of course, I am not a 100% scripter by any means.

My implementation was pretty smooth, but I didn't investigate long enough to learn to control it well. I just kept accelerating and accelerating for as long as I had the key pressed. Then I'd go splat on some immovable object. =D
