Hi, I have some small knowledge to editing. I've managed to take out poses I don't like from an AO. But that's the most advanced I've done, so don't use long and difficult words, OK? I bought hair from :69: with a pose buit into the hair. I really thought it came in two versions, with and without the pose. But apparently it don't. Here's a pic I found of the hair on flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ipanemagirlbing_galeria/2927554282/in/pool-sl_hair-style/How can I edit it myself so I can use it with other poses? It is copy/mod/no trans. Is it enough to just take a copy and delete the script in the contents? Is it so easy? I have heard that when you take out bling, you must replace the script with a "empty" script? Is it the same for an animation?

Well it is copy, so why not just try? I don't see why just removing the script wouldn't work, but then I know little about scripting.. Trial and error I do a lot tho.

*IF* the item is copyable, you can rez copies and experiment to your heart's content. Note, for editing rez the hair on the ground instead of wearing it, just like an AO. Hair with built-in poses, what will they think of next? I don't know if you will be able to use any other pose. It would depend upon whether the script calls the pose by name, or just looks for a pose in the object contents. You could try dropping another pose in the contents tab and see if it does anything. Personally, I would prefer to put the pose in my AO, rather than have another script running. To remove bling, just make sure the bling is turned off before removing it; if you can't turn it off you will need a particle scrubber script (it's here somewhere, just do a search).

I will do it.... and if it don't work I just come back and ask more. It can be a great fun hair for taking pictures where it looks like hair is "flying in wind" or floating.
