I dont know if I posted this in the right forum, but I need help uploading sounds. I'm trying to upload .wav but when I do it says that it doesnt appear to be a supported sample rate (must be 44.1 K). Am I doing something wrong?

Sound Recorder

I use the Sound Recorder that comes with Windows to change the sample rate. It can be found under Start/Programs/Accessories/Entertainmet/Sound Recorder.

Open the file you want to upload with the Sound Recorder. Then File/Save As, at the bottom of the Save As window is the Format (sample rate). Use the Change box to set the Attributes to 44.100 kHz.

This is from the SL Wiki...

"Valid sounds are any .WAV file in standard PCM format, 16-bit/44.1 kHz/Mono or Stereo, less than 10 seconds in length. (9.99 seconds is fine, but 10.0 will fail to upload.) "

Thanks for the info. After messing with the files all day, I finally found out how to do it, and it was through the sound recorder :-)
