Hi, please, I could use some help here. I'm trying to create my very first animation in Poser 4 which is supposed to be for a Christmas present, and I'm going strictly by the book, that is, by Ulrika Zugzwang's basic tutorial.

So I add frame 1 with the default stance as a keyframe, then frame 2, where my animation starts. Everything fine so far. Then I go to frame 30 of 60, add it as keyframe and edit the figure until it looks good to me.

Then I run the animation to see how it looks so far, but ARRRGH! All the frames between 2 and 20 look like a horror movie, the figure getting bent and twisted beyond resuscitation!

Happens every time. What am I doing wrong?

By the way, I am using a Poser 2 Hi figure, as I cannot get my Poser 4 to load the SL avatars, all available updates notwithstanding.

Any help greatly appreciated!

I don't use Poser anymore (I hate it!!!), but I think that I remember Ulrika's tutorial saying something about breaking the spline curve between frames one and two or something? I cannot remember precisely, but if you look up the phrase "break spline" you will find a whole bunch of posts on the subject, such as this one from Cristiano Midnight.

It sounds like it could be something similar to what happened in this thread:
