Clicking the cut icon freezes QAvimator

When I click the 'Cut' icon in QAvimator the program freezes (or at least the little hour glass comes up and I can't use the program)

Has anyone else had this problem and if so - is there a fix?

You might want to post this at the forum at qavimator.org. I haven't really seen that problem before.
