Hi, first thread on these forums, but I've been lurking for a while and learning a lot thanks to the posters here So, not quite trusting LL to replace the duck walk with something I would use, I'm making a few plain walk styles as a warm up in DAZ Studio (I had a limited former experience in a much less user-friendly environment). I'm rather happy with the first results, but didn't like the static head during previews so I freed the neck for a more natural look - I could free the head instead depending on the look I want. Now, does this make any sense during normal use? I don't see much of a difference then, maybe just when the avatar changes direction but I'm not even sure of that... It doesn't seem to be an issue either, but maybe I didn't test thoroughly enough... Should I expect unwanted side effects under some circumstances? Thanks in advance for any input

I don't see anything wrong with doing this. I think it's more useful in stands to be sure.

Allowing the neck and head to move with the cursor gives some added realistic motion to animations in some cases.
People don't always look where they are going (though most of the time, they should). You may want to limit the movement-with-cursor to head only (fixing the neck and chest), so that the head movements aren't too extreme.

Thank you for the replies!
Sure it's more useful with stands or sits, that was just less boring during the loooooong testing sessions - I needed to make sure that there was nothing wrong with sharing these versions. And right, I'm a tad panicked over my first completed SL things... lol
