Could you please make the sun normal sized and with a normal looking amount of dazzling brilliance effects again?

Would you please return the way the chat text, hovertext, avatar name, and group title text are displayed to the way it was before the latest upgrade? If not, use a simple outline, not a shadow, of user selectable color and opacity.

Can I ever expect a time when scripts will save and run in a sensible amount of time, i.e., nearly instantly, and not ever revert to the code and behavior they had an hour prior to the last save?

Any thought been given to communication between virtual worlds? It would be nice to be able to exhange at least text and still images with users in other virtual worlds.

Any thought given to a cross-world avatar identity system, something that would in some fashion let me be officially SuezanneC Baskerville in a virtual world like Hipihi or Splume? Being able to login with the same name would be great, but just a way to have the my SL identity officially confirmed in an other virtual world would be nice.

Whe you hear of the many efforts to bring new virtual worlds into existence do you feel bad because of competitive pressure or are you glad to see the field as a whole growing?

Have any of the Lindens tried Qwaq? If so, is it any good?

Is the speculation I read about SL potentially being run on the IBM "mainframe and Cell processor hybrid" just a bunch of bunk?

Any hopes of having sim crossing work well?

Any hopes of not having rubberbanding while building?

When do we get to use the mozilla browser allowing users to browse directly to user created SL oriented sites, and to let scripted objects load pages (with permission) into the mozilla browser. I think that would add more bang per buck of any change you could make. We'd be able to use third party chat, searching, and trading systems.

Any hope of being able to mute chat by group?

Any chance of being able to remove the group chat from the scrolling up the screen proximity based chat?

I haven't noticed any of these three issues.

It would also mean two corporations with most likely two completely different systems finding common ground. I can't see that happening. It works with instant messaging because there's no major technicalities involved, all you have to do is send the right handshaking information to retrieve a friends list from a server and communicate with it. Graphic worlds are a totally different issue, and I can't see it happening for years - if ever - that two completely unconnected companies decide to work together to transfer messages and/or other items between virtual worlds.

Again, I can't see this happening, even if Linden Labs were willing. You'd have to find common ground not only with them but with the other company that made the other virtual world. In a corporate world where trade secrets are an asset, I really can't see that happening.

This I would very much like to see, and add my hopes to Suezanne's for that.

I think you can already turn that off, can't you?

I use Mozilla and it works fine. Mozilla is set as the default in XP and when I click a URL within SL it always asks me if I want to view it in Mozilla.

The above questions should be examined in light of this statement from an IBM spokesperson:
From: someone
“In addition to our desire to work more closely with Linden Labs, we’re exploring how we can work with many virtual world players, including companies like Multiverse and Bigworld Technology, as well as open source platforms like Uni-Verse.org,” the spokesman said in an email. “IBM’s ultimate aim is for inter-world integration, instead of separate islands of virtual worlds, where you cannot cross over from one to the other in a consistent way.”

With regard to ":I haven't noticed any of these three issues." - good for you. I have, and so have many others. So I put forth the questions I want answered, you put forth the questions you want answered.

You may use the smokey backgrounds for the scrolling up the screen text and avatar names, I don't. The smokey backgrounds hide the blur effect. I hate the smokey backgrounds. There are threads on the subject with screenshots demonstrating the blurred text, along with Jira bug reports with comments from from others than have observed this effect, also accompanied by screenshots.

So you dont' want this question answered, fine, don't ask it. I do want this question answered, so I am asking it.

I didn't put these questions here in this forum in order to spark debate, I am assuming that this forum was created for people to put forth the questions they want answered by Linden employees, not to activate people's debating reflexes.

To suggest that one can turn off rubberbanding while building make me think the reesponent doesn't know what the term rubberbanding means.

The F1 help, the profile web tab, the LSL wiki display produced by the scripting editor, and several other instances of information display in the SL viewer are displayed using a mozilla browser built in to the client. That is the mozilla browser my comments address, the in-client one. I'm sure the Linden chief technical officer that my question is addressed to would understand that.

I trust that ill informed irrelevant comments from other users about my questions don't affect the possibily of getting the Linden personnel to address them.
