vista's windlight isuses

i seem to not notice anything different from the regular viewer on my vistas, while others are getting the better experience, i see regular water no clouds just the same shit as the original viewer, i reinstalled as admin, and it stilll didnt do anyhing, i have the beta 169.12 in their now as i'm updating, i tihnk it hates my 8800 gtx, i also have a quad core and 2 gigs of ram/

I assume you have adjusted your settings (in Graphics) to the "High" or "Ultimate" (I believe it's called) settings? ....... I dont notice any different on the lower settings either.

I have Vista and it runs fine for me, besides the too harsh light in some moments of the day, and thats the main reason because I'm running it on med settings, in ultra i would need sunglasses :)

I have a nvidia 8600 and 2 gigs of ram. Also I'm in laptop (HP 9575).

Lets see how the new viewer will behave, i'm downloading it now

well nothing has changed update or not, the water still looks like shit.

Something broke with the 169.x drivers. Use 163.x instead, they work great! :)
