From: Linden Lab * Fixed doubleclicking text entry fields should select a single word first, then the entire field There was a good reason that double-clicking selected the entire field first. But now that it's 'fixed', when editing by numbers, it's dang near impossible to double-click and get the whole value selected so it can be replaced by a new value. Now it takes three clicks when using the editor, first click selects the field, second click selects only half the number (right or left of decimal), third click selects it all. And sometimes I have to just keep clicking until it gets it all selected. Seems we need a single-click to select the *entire value* when using the build/edit panel, but a single click to select *one word* when using a communications feature. Edit: Okay, after more practice, I think I figured it out... you have to click to far right of the number to have it select the whole entry... whereas before, you could click anywhere, including in the middle of the number. Guess I'll get used to it.

I must say, the one-click-select-all are frustrating as well. When I only want to fix a single number, I'd have to click two times, instead of one. First click to select Whole field, then wait, and click again so it only select what I want.
I'd say. This method is the standard that should be used. First click select character, second select word, third select all.
