It's just something annoying that the History (now "Near me" tab) cannot be separated from the voice block.
I want a window that operated like old history -- it would keep things a bit more personal, instead of having to look through a tiny window, in another window, on your screen -- just give it it's own window like it had before!
I guess what i mean is, i don't want the look of my interface to change big-time and not have options or preferences to set it to the way we've had it for several years before.
Just a recap: Separate the "history" window from the "voice" part of the "near me" window, and i think the client is perfect.

The funny looking tiny square with an arrow inside it, top of the tab, click that and then you can 'tear off' that tab onto your desktop, not sure if its sticky, but maybe its available in the debug menu options (although doubtful). All the tabs/menus are 'tear off', one of the features of an 'upgraded' viewer since before Christmas.

That does not produce the results they are talking about. Did you look at the picture? I agree, the Near me name list and mute options windows must be seperate from the chat history, they are currently insepperable (Though they can be torn off togeather) The same goes for the my friends and IM windows, these NEED to be seperate, they REQUIRE seperate aspect ratios! Right now you either need to scrunch it up horizontally making managing multiple IM windows a PITA or you streach it out horizontally and make browsing your friends list a scroll-a-rific experience All of the functionality of the communicatwe window should in fact be 4 seperate positionable, sizable windows (IM with tear off tabs).

What would have been a bonus and perhaps more workable, would be to have those windows you wanted, to be able to tear them off and renest them, then close the main window. I've seen that in other programmes. My solution was to reduce the UI scale, so I could keep the window smaller and include more text, although I do have the luxury of a 1600x1200 screen.
