Currently im running the windlight client on a Windows XP machine running:
Intel Q6600
Gigabyte GA-P35-DQ6
2 gigs of DDR2 1066
EVGA 8800 GTX 768mb

The problem im having is when im holding the ALT or ALT+CTRL keys to do my various camera movements , the camera seems to fight me now, like it wont focus on the spots im clicking on, instead it either rotates or looks off in the opposite direction that i told it to focus on with the left click, or hell even does a full 180 degree spin, this is in open air over grass, im not accidently trying to focus on some invisiprim in the way of my camera

So far I have managed to ask a few friends to test this, one other has noticed the same problem, while another isnt having any problems at all

The mouse im using is a Razer Diamondback mouse, but i also tried a run of the mill Dell optical mouse and im still having the same problems

what do you think?

If you are trying to ALT+mouse on a megaprim, it can throw your camera POV around like this. But it happens in both WL and in the regular viewer. One solution is to flip the megaprim so that you're "grabbing" the other face.

It's not the problem you describe, but the WL viewer does re-set all your preferences. If your normal viewer has Camera Springiness set to something other than the default, the WL's setting may "feel" different to you.

Nope, it's a bug. The camera just doesn't always change it's focus point to where we clicked the mouse.

yeah this isn't a mega prim or the transparent prim problem.

It happens with normal solid prims but.. not always, I have found no consistant "cause" :(

I see this often in Windlight.

It SEEMS to kick in most often when you are trying to ALT-anchor/focus your camera past or through a linked object onto something.

Like a table in the corner of linked building, or an object through an arch of linked prims.

It's as if the focus is getting caught on the bounding box of the object between the viewer and the intended focus object, and you end up looking at the center of the obstacle. (flipping 180' if the center is behind the camera, obviously)
