Hi,
I love the new windlight client but it has become impossible to use. I get about 5FPS in a crowded place but after 30 mins of the client running the frames drop to 0.7FPS and the client runs like total crap. Takes 60 seconds for text to appear while chatting ect...
I have heard multiple reports of this happening anywhere from 10-30 mins into a session and alot of people just dont use the windlight client anymore because of this.
Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue or not.
I thought maybe the client had a memory leak but it isnt using more then 280MB of ram at the time of the framerate drops. Dunno what the issue is.

Hmmm....I don't know the techie details as you do Kevin....but I have noticed over all....the longer I use Windlight......the more glitches I am seeing. It ran smooth as silk on the first night....and most of the next day..... then suddenly the bugs crept in.
I still don't have some of the serious issues that I'm reading about here.....but I find it interesting that the bugs didn't show up right away. I still use it because I love it...... but it does seem to have an odd 'tiring out' element to it.

Well I have a Nvidia GeForce 7600 GS i beleive...heh dont really remember has 512MB ran on it. I turned my video ram in windlight down to 256 and it seems to run better. Now i just get all the other usual bugs reported here like half buildings missing and stuff.

Sounds like there's probably a memory leak or something similar somewhere =)
