I'm running the Mac OS X client and double striking the esc key is not cleaning the chat dialog widow out of frame.

I'm having the same issue on Windows XP SP2, the client itself runs great but the escape key isn't functioning at all, so your unable to clear the chat bar and be able to use the WASD keys to move your avatar around. work around for now is simply use the arrow keys instead

I can confirm under linux too. ESC does plain nothing. Does not remove focus from windows, does not close chat line, nothing.
Very hard to move now if you are used to WSAD instead of arrow keys...

Confirmed here too, no ESC functionallity at all.
As I said on the blog, first FL viewer I have actually wanted to remove from my computer solely because of this irritation.

I can no longer hit ESC to deselect and jump out of build mode.
