Features no more available???

Hi there

Sorry if the question have been asked already, but there's something i'm really curious

For a time, First look haven't all the features enabled (the ones like ripple water, and so on)...
Several updates later, i see them activated. And when i tried it, it was great! I could be able to see ripple water effects without graphic lag!
And suddenly, one or two updates later, they are not available again, and still aren't actually!! oO
(Sorry i don't remember which versions it was)

Was just wondering why... Is there something LL modified on it and not ready to be tested?? Or something else?
