Why does lighting, and the sun at certain angles, now ruin and wash out textures in the RC viewer? I really don't know what to do. I can turn off my own lights, but for example, I have a public square with no-mod illuminated trees that used to be beautiful, and now looks like crap in the RC viewer. Anywhere I have marble flooring, it looks like total sh*t anywhere near a light, or at the "wrong" time of day. Are my settings wrong, or am I supposed to redecorate and retexture everything across all my land holdings?

Thanks to anyone who can offer any help!

Well you can go into the windlight settings (World->EnvironmentSettings->Environment Editor->Advanced Sky->Lighting) Then for 9am, 12pm and 3pm, turn down the sun, turn up the ambient and turn up the gamma till it looks good again. (My settings are sun->I = 0.3, Ambient->I = 0.26 and Scene Gamma = 1.46 for all three)

For each of them, once you save them as new setings "My 9am, My 12pm etc). then click "Day Cycle Editr" and for the three times, Click the yellow dot then replace the default ones with your own and "Save test day".

So.. now YOU can see your sim in it's former glory but.. anyone else visiting is SOL till they go through the same PITA process :(

SOME DAY they will allow us to set tose settings permananetly for our sims if you are an estate agent, but for now... Bleh.
