1.19 bugz

In addition to the poor "Release Keys" button placement, I'm seeing the following in 1.19 (Windlight, but I'll bet they're in the 1.19 RC viewer too).

The cursor gets stuck in the Chat History (now Local Chat) window. ESC doesn't move the cursor back to the main UI. This sticky behavior happens in the IM window sometimes, too.

I still have the TP bug, and can't find the button to turn off occlusion culling, which is said to fix the problem.

[EDIT: The TP bug seems to have been fixed in the latest update. At least, I haven't seen it in the last couple of days (Feb 13 -15)

IM tabs only flash for a moment, instead of continuously. Also, the color scheme makes them harder to read than the old style.

I've opened a JIRA issue on the sticky cursor problem.

Somehow, I'm glad I'm still using the previous Windlight as Nicholaz edition.....but I'll have a look at the current RC today.

...as the server update ate my water reflections I had to update to the current Windlight. I had three totally random crashes in two hours. I've NEVER had that before. I didn't do anything special, one time I was just STANDING there. Really weird. And it makes me quite angry because I can't even report a bug. I didn't do anything and I can't reproduce it either.

I have an issue with it not saving my preferences. Every time I log on, it is as if I am doing it for the first time. It also keeps telling me I have to update Quicktime. Has there been another update since they fixed the security hole? In any case I will have to shelve it. It looks great except the overall lighting seems darker, but my machine takes too much of a performance hit even with tweaking to make it useful to me. I'll wait until I have to use it, and deal with it then. It does seem to be the most stable, Non Nicholaz enhanced viewer I've used. I still hate the Comm Box, and losing the Bandwith and Packet Loss bars.

Could be the following bug?

I was happy that I could again change debug settings, but they, like other preferences, such as having the mini-map open are forgotten after logging out and in.

I'm terribly missing the Bandwidth and Packet Loss bars.

And for the last few versions it seems it has to send Crash Reports
even though it doesn't seem that I crashed. Or maybe it's crashing
every time but I don't notice. =)

Problem with TP and open map too

These comments are weird because I am having LESS problems with the -044 release.

I still have an occasional TP crash, but they are much fewer than previously. I have had a couple of "no warning" crashes. But in general, I can stay on line MUCH longer than in previous WindLight versions.

Plus the water looks prettier again.

The two really annoying things that are happening for me are:

- the new behavior of new IM tabs...they only flash once. New messages are SO easy to overlook.

- Inventory folders won't autoexpand when you try to drop something in them.

add crash reporting not accessing LLABS servers and resulting in errors.

i have noticed the following things:

- IM tabs.. dont liek the new 'qucik flash' ones...

- Bold text in IMs

- SOMETIMES when i open a notecard, texture or script, its really tiny, all i see is the description of it and the little arrow thingy on the corner so i can stretch it...

- when i open/close folders in my inventory, everything in my inventory goes all blurry for a split second, like i am drunk or something (this only happens sometimes though, not always).

- FL is a bit borked sometimes... one min i have everyone there, then another time i have one person 'waiting' for days.. (always the same person too)

- Group IMs are borked (but i dont think thats jsut WL). my partner and i are in a lot of the same groups, sometimes he gets a group IM and i dont.. he is using the main viewer though, not WL

thats all i can think of from the top of my head, but i think there are a few toehr things i noticed too...

Snapshot bugs are testing my patience.

i've also noticeed that if i check the perms of soemthing via properties in my inventory, they are different to what they are if i rez the item.. or was it liek this befor ethe update?

yes actually, perms can appear slightly different in inventory than when rezzed, especially for creators reviewing their work... this is the first and very best reason to have an alt to pass packages to check out your shtuff before posting for sale.

i don't have a link handy, but i think if you search the lsl wiki for permissions, you should find a rundown of this phenomenon... but of course if you are finding something that doesn't jive and seems to be an all-out perm bug, pleae do report it!! (in fact, the lindens would probably like to know of such things via the 'private line' instead of posting publicly to the jira. ummm, where this 'private line' exists, i cannot remember... i think perhaps post 'em a support ticket or something about it.)

Yes! Especially the notecard thing, I was thinking I might have changed a setting but it is good to see it isn't just me and it is annoying. My other half in SL has not been showing up in my friends list for the same issue, which with him it is annoying because he's the one I talk to the most lol. One day I actually didn't have the waiting stuff showing and he was not in my friend's list at all. Now it's just back to waiting. I will say though that I had the same waiting problem in the old viewer. With the group ims, I've been having a bit of a different problem with them. I will try to send a grp im and it will tell me to wait, and I wait. Sometimes it will just stay this way and I'll end up closing, sometimes it gives me an error message. I can't say I've noticed not getting any grp im's though. I'll keep an eye open on that one. Also, I've been a lot more laggy than past versions. This is annoying because sometimes I'm fine. Other times, it makes moving 2 steps a chore. Of course some of my friends are having the same problem after I raved about how WL had less lag/freezes than the old Viewer did. Go figure. *Crosses her fingers the new version will fix these issues because she thinks WL is the best thing ever!*
