Select texture is wonky... it changes the texture on the entire prim, not just one side.

No texture offsets
02-28-2007 11:52
I just logged on with 58537 and went into panic mode. All of the animated textures on my clocks were askew. I frantically tried to edit the texture offsets and nothing happened, or so I thought. I could not get any vertical or horizontal offsets to change and quickly gave up.

I logged off of 58537 and logged back on with the standard viewer and all of the textures were correct, EXCEPT the texture I had tried to fix with 58537. That one was really screwed up. It seems that the texture offsets were responding to my edit, but not changing on the viewer. This is not going to work!

As far as changing the texture on the entire prim, it may be a viewer problem and what you are seeing is not what is really happening. Oh my!

I logged in with the standard viewer to complete my build, and it was still fully textured with the wrong texture.

Le sigh.

Try straightening out your texture with the standard viewer, then take a look at them with 58537. See if they are still correct. I think 58537 is fooling your build.

Everything I have textured with FL5837 is messed up in the standard viewer. I am going back to the eariler FL.

No doubt about it, single side texturing is completely borked. :(

Texturing is still borked. I am trying to add a texture to an existing prim in-world, but it will only texture one side, and then claim that the prim is multi-textured. I now have to select texture for all sides in order to texture an object with the same texture.

ah i didn't see this topic. i wrote one of my own. it's pretty detailed. well it's nice to know I'm not the only one.

I'm going to get into the habit of saving all the first look installers each new release. That way if LL messes something up i can always revert. It's just i have a 300GB HD thats almost full of games so i try to delete stuff thats not necessary.
