Well I hope there is *somewhere* to discuss it, otherwise I have just paid $72 up front for a year of using the forum and not being able to actually get into the World. It crashes every time I try to run it before it even displays the login

Does it give any error message?
The latest upgrade is optional, you don't have to use it. Unless you deleted the install file for the previous version, you should still have it on your computer. If you don't, you can still get them at: windows: http://s3.amazonaws.com/download-secondlife-com/Second%20Life%201-15-0-2%20Setup.exe mac: http://s3.amazonaws.com/download-secondlife-com/SecondLife_1_15_0_2.dmg _____________________

Thanks Suezanne, I saw your other post shortly after I posted that, and so I reinstalled the older version.

Has the first look program gone away? I think First Look was for big client-side changes that did not require server-side changes. I suspect that if they just have some bug fixes and semi-minor things that don't require server-side changes, they'll do an "optional viewer" like we got last night. If they do something big like the render pipeline improvments, they'll revive the First Look term. _____________________

Quote ![]() Has the fist look program gone away? No typo, spelling mistake, grammatical error, or hastily written and quickly deleted cross word ever goes unquoted. One difference between the "optional viewer update" and "first look version" is that the "optional viewer update" like 1.15.1.3 will bug people to update every time they run SL, even if they've tried the update and don't want to, while the first look versions don't. Might be nice to find a way to avoid this. This First Look forum is sad and lonely these days. _____________________
