when you save a custom sky/world setting where dose it reside on your computer? I figure in application data like the chat logs etc. but I don't see anything there... I have a few really nice skys I want to save before I wipe the old version out for a clean install of the new one.

From: someone These are the usual install directories, yours may look different but similar:
Windows - C:\Program Files\SecondLifeWindLight\app_settings\windlight Mac - In Applications folder, right-click "Second Life WindLight", select "Show Package Contents", then open Contents > Resources > app_settings > windlight
Linux - The folder that contains the "secondlife" boot script (example: ~/Desktop/SecondLife_i686_1_18_5_74061_WINDLIGHT/). Its exact location depends on where you extracted the viewer .bz2 archive after downloading it. From the wiki.

They need to add something to it so you can pass a saved sky to other people. Without having to dig through your sl files

Without having to dig through your sl files From what I've heard that's what they're working on next after they iron out more of the bugs. They're also going to have it so estates can have saved windlight settings that can be passed onto the viewer.
