The X800 is listed as a minimum requirement for Windlight. The advance sky works great, but when I select options in advanced water I don't see any differences at all.
Is anyone else having a problem or do I have something turned off possibly??
Here is my setup:
CPU: AMD K7 (Unknown model) (1350 MHz) Memory: 1024 MB OS Version: Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (Build 2600) Graphics Card Vendor: ATI Technologies Inc. Graphics Card: ALL-IN-WONDER X800 Series OpenGL Version: 2.1.7169 Release LLMozLib Version: 1.1.0 (Mozilla GRE:1.8.0.12_0000000000) Packets Lost: 5/133161 (0.0%)
I did not find anything on target in Jira

Its a known bug, i have an ATI2900 and its never worked, I even tried Windlight with the Beta 8.1 Catalyst Drivers and its still not fixed...
someone needs to sort it as windlight is no real use to ATI users at the moment

someone needs to sort it as windlight is no real use to ATI users at the moment That depends on the specific ATI Card. The ATI X1900 in my Mac Pro tower works pretty well with Windlight. Not that Windlight doesn't still have bugs galore, but I can see all the water and sky effects just fine.

Im running a Sapphire x1950PRO,
In XP i can get the water reflections with Cat 7.10 and previous, it does not work with Cat 7.11 or 7.12
In Vista i have tried from Catalyst 7.9 onwards, before 7.9 the performance loss isnt worth the tradeoff so i haven't bothered to check, and cannot get water reflections with any
Kinda used to ATI being shoved in a corner when it comes to SL now though

Backwards to go forward

Thanks - I'll try going backwards - CCC has been killing my anyway - I crash constantly with it installed.
I'll try to find the old version.

If Cat 7.13/8.0/8.1 or whatever the heck it will be called doesnt fix it for me in Vista im seriously considering going back to xp or doing a dual boot just for the water, really missing it now
