I've got a script that rezzes an object. The rezzed object, a poseball type deal, is fully transparent when it is created then changes itself to a visible texture once it has finished with some startup tasks.
Pre-57876, I could use the ALT key to see the object when it was still starting up. With 57876, I can't see it until it changes itself to visible. Setting Highlight Transparent does show the object while it's starting up.
Anybody else seeing (or, rather, not seeing) this change in behavior?
update: Things like xcite parts glow when I press ALT but some other scripted invisible attachments don't. Haven't figured out the pattern of why some do and why some don't, tho.

Now you can use ctrl alt T, it does the same thing and you don't have to hold down the keys the entire time in order to see the invisible objects. To turn that view off you just hit ctrl alt T again.

Highlight transparent, ctrl-alt-t, is different, Bailey.
Whatever it was that caused me to create this thread is either not bugging me any more or was fixed.
edit: new optional viewer removes alt-shows-physical.. It's now under View->Beacons and toggles with a ctrl-n.

No it's not.
Alt shows physical highlights scripted objects (alpha or not) which your Ctrl+n does not (well, it shows some but not all). You can't use beacons on linksets because it'll only show you one beacon, not individual scripted prims.
At this rate you can kiss the debug menu goodbye if all the good and handy tools are slowly being stripped away.
