Map Screen virtualy unuseable !!!!!

What gives with the map screen ? Instead of the old maps where you could zoom out and get a view of the continents farly quickly, then zoom in on a particular area. Now you sit and wait, and wait, and wait some more for every single island to pop up in no disernable manner, making the map screen virtualy unuseable. Is this a new feature? or just another consequence of ppl messing about with out thinking about the results?

Said this about 2 years 'ish ago they didnt listen then either, map is crap

Oh so I'm not the only one with that problem. It needs fixing yes.

Is there anything to actually see when the map finally loads? (o.o) I either aim for the green dots or just close my eyes and doubleclick... Depending on my mood. (^_^)

I don't think I've ever given the map a chance to fully load except when I'm watching a dead sim and waiting for it to reboot. (^_^)y

I must say I once let it load for a longer time, now it seems that it starts to load faster and faster
