hi, my friend and I have a nightclub in SL, so we have a streamer to play our own music. Since the first look version, when he crashes with this version, the sound bugs !!! It sizzles, frizzles, and he has to restart the PC that the sound rebecome normal to hear !!!
we have the 2 PCs on one internet conexion, 2 dual cores (PC are 1 month old !!!). The sound card is a Realtek. With the old version of SL, we crashed too but there was no bug on the sound ! I don't know if it can affect the sound card directly, or something else in the computer.... And SL crashes all day an d night long....every time.... too bad..... !!!!
If someone has also heard or had or has also this probleme with the sound card, or knows if something can be done against it... please tell me.... or if I forgot something important to tell about this pb...
thank you for your help^^ Marylou

Hi, I use a Realtek sound chip welded to my nVida motherboard, the FirstLook Voice client would not play ingame music, but that was a known bug, sorted out with the recent client release. I would suggest that you check with the manufacturers website for updated drivers. You don't mention your OS... if it's Visa... GL with that

hi, ty for your answer, no i don't have vista, I had it yes, but impossible to make SL running... so i downloaded back XP pack 2. we've done a lot of updates, but nothing works.... anyway, at the moment it seems to be better, we still crash but the sound card doesn't seem to be affected... so I don't know what really happened.... we also have a realtek card... anyway, ty for answering^^

First suggestion is to not use the computer/motherboard sound drivers for Realtek, use Realtek's: http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/
