This is the second time that I have become unable to move using the Windlight viewer.
I'd been online an hour or so, and was flying, and just lost the ability to fly. I could still teleport and sit. The minimap was normal. I have never seen this condition since I started years ago.
Logging out proceeded normally, and once restarted I was once again able to fly and walk.
The movement part of this problem is similar to the common disconnected with a red minimap state, but so far, when I have been unable to move with a red minimap, every version to date other than Windlight, I have not been able to teleport. So, this is a brand new error condition for me.

I'm not too surprised. I found movement unpredictable... one little tap and I'd be flying across the room.. other times I'd be unable to turn.

I filed a bug report on this loss of ability to move using the regular bug report feature in the Windlight viewer, prior to reading the request to use the Jira system to report non-Windlight feature bugs and reserve the regular in-client bug reporter for reporting Windlight feature specific bugs.
I received a response from Milo advising me of the proper desired use of the in-Windlight-viewer bug reporter only for Windlight specific problems.
Since this loss of ability to move in this manner has never once occurred to me in any viewer since December 22 of 2003, but has occurred several times in the short time that I have used the Windlight viewer, I suspect that this problem is a result of code changes resulting from the introduction of Windlight features, unless this version includes non-Windlight changes that I am unaware of. Of course it could just be coincidence, in which case I should expect to see this problem reveal itself using the regular viewer.
Be that as it may, be advised that bug reports that concern anything but Windlight specific features made using the in-Windlight-viewer bug reporter will be deleted and not acted on. Use the Jira system to report such bugs.
