SL wont save my preferences :(

When i log out of windlight or release candidate, my preferences are set back to default as if i have jsut installed...

everytime i log in on these 2 viewers, it says it is clearing cache, even though i havent told it to and i have to redo my settings all over again...
the main viewer works properly, but for some reason these 2 viewers wont save the preferences..

its only happened with the latest update of windlight, all the otehr versionswere fine..
its only the first time i have used the RC viewer so i am not sure ab9out that....

ive uninstalled all my viewers completely, reinstalled in different directories, done virus checks, defrags, scanned for errors on my system.. everything.. but it hasnt helped.. i am on my 7th fresh download of windlight now so i know it wasnt a corrupt download...

has thisd ever happened to anyone else?
if it has, how did u solve it?

does ANYONE know how to solve this problem? pleeeeeeeeeeease

If you go into your preferances there is a tab called popups . Open it and look near the bottom half for a couple of blue boxes one of which is skip all "skip next time" dialogs
DO NOT check it so you don't get the popup warnings!
one of them corrupts the settings file.

I have the same problem.

Must resist the urge NOT to klick: skip all "skip next time" dialogs.
