I hv display problems with SL

i'm new with SL, i hv Viesta as operating system, i hv a display problem most of the time, at the begining i see very well, then in the next 15 minutes, it comes black then it disconnect ma viga, is it related to Viesta or, i hv problem in SL download, and i need to reinstall.

any support will be appreciated

1. Check your internet connection. You should have broadband or cable or FIOS. Wireless internet or dialup do not work well with SL.

2. Check your RAM. With a Vista system, 4GB is adequate.

3. Check your video card. You should be using a card like an NVIDIA GeForce 8800 or better, or the equivalent Radeon card. You should have at least 256 MB of video RAM, and more is better. Video "integrated" with the motherboard is not a good bet.

4. Make sure you are using the latest mainstream SL viewer software from the Downloads page.

5. Turn off unnecessary background programs like spyware protectors.

6. Make sure you are using the latest drivers for your video card.

As for helping you:
Operating System: Windows Vista (32 bits or 64 bits?)
What videocard do you have?


It would be a very good idea to check for new graphics card drivers
For Nvidia: www.nvidia.com/page/drivers.html
For ATI cards: http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html

That's all I can do for you right now.

Count yourself lucky you can get into SL!

I'm a new user aswell and very keen to get going but everytime i log in and stuff.. the bar loads to the end then it crashes.. it wont get past this! Any ideas how to get round this?!
As ive said.. i am VERY keen to get it going as it look amazing!..
Im missing out !
