Contrast Windlight WAY too high

Omg, Windlight is absolutely gorgeous. Water and sky are amazing. But... contrast on everything else is WAY too high.

http://www.primeserver.nl/media-archive/uploads/82397461.jpg is a comparison between Windlight and the regular viewer, both at setting NOON.

- Above picture, Windlight: the drawing on the paper on the desk is completely invisible. Texture detail on the floor rug is almost gone. And everything else, that isn't lit from above (noon), is much darker, as is my avatars face by the way. Everything that IS lit from above, is way too bright. Shiny objects appear blue.

- Below picture: same situation in regular viewer at noon.

I tried Windlight for the first time and I love it. But I sure hope LL fixes the contrast problem or else all content creators will have to adjust every single setting and texture.

My specs:

Windows Vista™ Home Premium
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 4300 @ 1.80GHz (2 CPUs), ~900MHz
Memory: 2046MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 10
NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT

[edit:] By the way, can someone make the url to the picture a real link (and tell me how to do that?) ;)

Ahhh I'm very happy with the blog entry from today! Two of my main concrens are being looked at. Quote from the blog:

• Avatars and Textures are too overwashed/high contrast
• Making shiny look and feel like before

YES YES YES !!!

I totally agree with the original poster. I hope they do fix this bug. I have textures that are washed out big time, especially floor textures at noon. Not good!!

everything is washed out

Yes I agree with all the above posts. Skys and water look incredible but everything on my sim is washed out and looks horrible. This is both on my desktop and laptop computers. We cannot change the texture of everything we own on an entire sim. I hope this is fixable because for me Windlight is useless now.

There will be some adaptation to be made anyway, windlight is modeling a more realistic lighting system, thus, surfaces will still be washed out when being struck directly by a strong sunlight, it's a normal behavior for light in the real world.

Yes, but does light in the real world come through a solid opaque wall to wash things out?
