Please put the individual volume sliders back for the audio and video media controls. It is a pain to go into preferences to adjust them. While i'm giving feedback, that chatterbox needs a major redesign as well. I like my IM windows seperate and i do not need to see my friends list while I am viewing chat history. Why does the interface seem to be getting so clunky? I can only guess that someone is trying to dumb it down.

I found the controls for everything by clicking on the speaker button for the master volume slider, but it still seems clunky to me. can we have the old way back please?

I don't mind it so much. But a popout option for music and video audio would be nice.

You don't need to go into prefs... just click the button on the master volume slider (bottom-right of your screen.) You'll get another popup with all the volume sliders available.

Personally, I'd like to see a single chat volume control at the bottom right of the screen. When the mouse hovers over that control for a certain amount of time, the other volume sliders would become available in a column rising above it. Mouse-up to the slider needed, make an adjustment, and when the mouse leaves the column, everything collapses back to the single main slider. The fewer mouse clicks, the better.

I guess I should head over to that JIRA thing.

That on-screen volume control does not go away, ever. Not even if you have all audio muted. Why?
