In the last version of Release Candidate, if you muted someone, it would turn their avatar completely grey and hide all of their attachments. This was by far my favorite feature of Second Life because I could mute people that had laggy avatars, specifically ones that used 1024x1024 textures. Certain people's avatars slow my client down to a crawl, and this was the best possible remedy for it.
In the newest version of Release Candidate (1.20.1), this feature was taken out. Was this feature a bug, or a scrapped idea? Is it completely gone from the client, or is there still a way to activate this through the debug settings?
Edit: I meant Release Candidate. Didn't realize there was a seperate client called First Look.

It was taken out, avatar imposters ...or something i think they called it caused people to lag more and crash, didnt happen to me tho -.- and i miss it, now if i had a option to "mute" land parcels and not render any of their prims thats on it id be happy Im not expecting to see it come back if it is not for a long time, dont they always introduce new futures, then remove them to never be seen again?, happend alot in here.

You can still use RC0 if you want, just change the channel in the shortcut.

I seriously didn't know they implemented such a feature at all. Is it really wise to be doing things to urge *more* muting? I sometimes wonder if LL realizes the social implications of some of the things they do. *shakes her head*

This feature has been restored as of update 1.20.4. Thank you Linden Lab!
