I have encountered a serious problem using this viewer with my laptop.
I have a Toshiba M5 Centrino Duo 1.83 GHz with 2 GB Ram and a Nvidia Quadro NVS 110M (256 MB, PCI express x16) graphics chip set. The graphics drivers are the latest available from Toshiba (Forceware version 86.05)
The problem is this:
I can upload textures fine. I can view them without any problems being apparent. However when I try to incorporate the textures into clothes I am building, First Look appears to corrupt the texture somehow.
Last night I was making a skirt and lots of little yellow dots appeared on it. I also had similar corruption issues with other clothes items. I had thought that these were viewable only to me (and were some artifact of the Nvidia driver), but my friends could see the same problem on a different computer with the regular viewer.
Even worse, if you edit something even if you do not change the texture (for example change the length of a skirt), then it can be corrupted. I had this happen to one of my skins.
Personally this is an utter show stopping bug for me. I cannot make any clothes, or edit any items using this viewer.
I will try to post some screen shots of the problem later today.

I posted about this problem on a couple other threads in this section. Having it too. Both of my PCs use nvidia cards but different models. One of them uses the FX5200 128MB, and the other uses the 6200GT 256MB. The problem isn't just in your hands. At this moment I'm not sure what causes it. It isn't just clothing either, i also saw a linden pine tree do it, and someones furry head.

Well I have mixed emotions. Happy in that it's not just me that is having problems. Sad in that you are having them too.
Problem Update:
I downloaded build 58100 of First Look to see if this suffered from the same problem. As far as I can tell this bug is still present in the latest build.
I updated my video drivers to Forceware 97.02. No improvement was seen. I still get corruption issues using this viewer. Today I will try further updates to my laptop (latest bios etc) to see if this has any effect.

Please post this issue in the First Look blog post (Steve is checking there for feedback). If you can, add links to snapshots and all your system specs. I have seen this too...but didn't grab the snaps.
I am on Nvidia 7900 GS (256).

As promised I have attached a screen shot of the problem. In the picture you can see little yellow dots on the top. These are visible to other people regardless of which viewer thay are using. Edit: I have added an example of how texture corruption appears on this viewer (and the current SL viewer). Notice the hair texture corruption in the picture (circled in red). Since I did not edit the hair, the corruption is only visible to me. However it is quite unsatisfactory when it detracts from how I look
