In the latest WL release, I'm getting a lot more crashes. They are either a sudden and complete crash, or an error message saying "out of memory", or another error message saying "Stack Heap Collision", or another one, "Runtime Error".

Plus, the black ring in the sky on "Ultra" settings.

I like the improvements in avatar and ambient lighting, though. I use WL all the time now, as my preferred viewer. I hope the bugs continue to be worked out, and it can be released soon as the main viewer.

Check the Custom box in Graphics, then slide the Sky Detail down one notch, should remove the black rings, if not, keep sliding down one at a time, until the client refresh sync's with your GC memory timings.

The C++ Runtime Library errors are more to do with the client graphic api calls and your GC drivers.

I installed the latest version of .NET Framework, that does offer some stability, although the vast majority of the windows drivers etc are for DirectX and not for the ailing OpenGL platform.

So did I, but it hasn't helped. The new release is definitely less stable than its predecessors.

I'm also seeing the "invisible avatar" bug with this release, and I didn't have that one before.
